The Nigeria Police Force has established a forensic laboratory and digital resource center in Abuja to enhance the operations of its Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department. Equipped with advanced technologies such as iris and facial recognition, multiple and extended fingerprints, and other identification features, the facility aims to track down criminals like hoodlums, armed robbers, and kidnappers. With these systems in place, the Nigerian police aim to comply with the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015, by capturing and submitting the biometrics of arrested suspects to the Attorney-General of the Federation's office.
